Routes into Music: Careers Expo for Young People – 20th October 2025

An engaging conference day for students, and their teachers, to explore the diverse career opportunities within the music industry.
For students in years 9 – 13.
Dorset Music Service and B Sharp would like to invite students from years 9 – 13, and their teachers, to join us for an engaging conference day to explore the diverse career opportunities within the music industry
- Monday 20th October 2025: 10.30am – 2.30pm
- The Thomas Hardye School, Queen’s Ave, Dorchester DT1 2ET
Students will:
- Explore music careers and jobs
- Take part in workshops, demos and talks
- Meet music Industry Professionals
- Learn about routes into the music industry
The programme will include a panel and Q&A, workshops and demos around music production and recording, commercial composition and songwriting, live sound and production arts, as well as a range of ‘behind the scenes’ industry roles. Students will also hear from young, emerging and established music industry professionals about their routes into the sector.
